Read Along with Hildy & Walter

Thanks to the Internet Movie Script DataBase, I’ve added a text excerpt of Hildy Johnson’s passionate second thoughts about journalists to my page of links to “His Girl Friday” and “The Front Page” radio incarnations, just in time for my fall course on the portrayal of the journalist in popular culture.

This “shooting draft” is not exactly as spoken in the film His Girl Friday (1940) or the 1941 His Girl Friday radio version… so it might be fun for students to read along while they watch or listen, since all three versions are available here online.
